white paper

8 colors of neon paint

Make the Stars

You will need 12 rows of 10 stars in the 3 sizes, making 120 stars. Trace the cookie cutters on the white paper and cut each one out.

Attach the Stars

Cut 12 3-foot lengths of yellow thread for the stars and 12 13-inch lengths for the top of the mobile. Tape the stars onto the 3 foot lengths of thread with paper reinforcements. You may arrange the stars at different spots on the strings so the stars are not perfectly even. This makes for a more interesting look!

The Top of the Mobile

Carefully tie the 12 13-inch pieces of yellow thread along the top of the wreath form. Gather the tops together and tie a knot, being careful that they are all centered nicely. Cut off the excess threads at the top and on the wreath form.

Paint the Stars

Place the strings of stars on the plastic. Paint both sides of the stars with the neon paint colors of your choice. This mobile has 8 colors. The large ones are blue and green. The medium are yellow and white. The small are purple, orange, dark pink and salmon. Give each one 2 coats of paint.

Tying the Strings of Stars
