My Pencil Case

Fini.jpg

Hello, My name is Thomas, I am 13 years old, I am passionate about manual work and this is my first instructable!

Here's how I made a pencil case for my favorite markers. Everyone can adapt the size of the model according to their specific uses.

I Make the Canvas

I cut a first length of adhesive of about 20 cm that I place on my work surface, adhesive side up.

I then cut 5 strips of 25cm that I position perpendicular to the first strip, covering about 1cm on this first strip; overlapping the strips between them by 5 mm.

I then cover the set with 6 strips of 25cm that I glue perpendicular to the previous strips, overlapping them by 5mm

I draw a square of 20cm side, and I cut this square with a cutter or non-stick scissors

Decorating the Pencil Case

I fold the square in half

I make the decoration of my pencil case
I chose to paste a decoration that I made with my Cricut. It's easier to do it at this stage because I can glue it flat and therefore make my pattern stick well.

I line the two longitudinal sides of the square with black electrician's tape.

Assembling the Zipper

I glue the first edge of the pencil case to the first edge of the zipper with the glue gun.

I glue the second edge of the pencil case to the second edge of the zipper with the heat gun.

Finishing

I close the kit by sticking a 10cm piece of Gray Tape and a 5cm piece of electrician's tape at both ends.

I cut off the excess pieces with scissors. And There you go !
