What makes an awesome room? How do I get a room the way I want it? Everybody asks these questions. I want to answer them and I want to show you how to get a room like mine. First I want to give a little history behind my room before I get into that. I will give

- A background of why my room is the way it is

- The history of my favorite Jersey

- My Brett Favre Signed Cheese Head

After I am done with that I will give you some steps on how to get that perfect room you have always wanted.

A Small History

photo (51).JPG

I am a huge fan and have been since I was little. I grew up with a grandfather that loved the Green Bay Packers and that is the main reason I am such a fan. I wanted my room to resemble how much of a Packers fan I am while still maintaining my personality. I never had a room like this when I was little, and when I moved into this room I wanted it to be great. These kind of rooms just do not happen in a year. It has taken me years to get the room the way I want it and it is still not perfect, but it is getting there.

What Is My Favorite Jersey?

Like any true fan I have A LOT of jerseys. I easily have 10 jerseys. Which one is my favorite? Well my favorite is the one I never use. It is the one that is framed. One asks, Why is a jersey in that condition placed in such a nice frame? Well it actually has a lot of meaning to me. For one it was my first jersey I ever had. It is a Brett Favre STARTER BRAND jersey. Me and my found it at a yard sale when I was really young. First through 5th grade I used that jersey during my football practices. That is why it is so worn. When I was in 6th grade I thought I lost it one day because I could not found it. A couple months later for Christmas my dad framed it secretly for me. That is why it means so much to me. Plus I am a huge Brett Favre fan.

THE CHEESEHEAD

If you ask a true Green Bay Packers fan you have a cheese head. Of coarse I do, but mine is a little more special. It is signed by Brett Favre. My aunt several years ago got it signed by him during a signing. I just received it recently for my birthday. It has been staying at my grandparents for years. It is a family thing. I will pass it down to my kids and then they will pass it down to there kids. I plan to put it into a glass box I will make.

Great Rooms Start With a Great Theme

photo (44).JPG

Now I will get into the steps to having a great room. Every room has to have a great theme. Mine as you can see is a Green Bay Packers theme. Think of something you like a lot. You will for sure make a better room if you like what you are working towards. It is that simple.

Organization Is the Key

A room will not feel awesome until it is organized and clean. For example I made shelving units for my Nike shoes to add some space and they turned out nice. I used oak wood, some stain, and some metal shelf placements that match the room. I also posted a previous instructable on how to achieve good organization. Here is the link.

Remember This Is Your Room

The theme does not need to take over your room. Remember that you want to feel comfortable in your room. I love to draw and paint. I kind of want to hang up some of my best drawings and paintings. I am not letting a theme stop that.

Movie Night Is the Best!

photo (27).JPG

Your room has to look good in the dark. When I am watching a movie I want the room to be pitch black, maybe a little light, so I can pay attention to just the movie. It has to be like a movie theatre. It helps with an HD LED TV and a PS4. It makes the movie.

Conclusion

As you can see a great room takes a lot. Anyone can do it. You just have to want to do it. I wanted to. I Hope this helps anyone that wants a great room. Comment if you have any questions, or want some other tips.
