Hello, in this project, I will make a Mustang MACH 1 clock. I collected a lot of Mustang diecast. So, I decide to make a clock and place a 1:64 die cast Mustang MACH 1 inside the clock. I already have a clock for a while, it a typical clock. The round shape, thickness, and just add the orange & black. It will look interesting and function as well. Let’s start make it.

Supplies

1.   Round clock (or any shape). (The clock I use is about 40 cm, thickness is about 5 cm)

2.   Spray paints: red, white, blue, orange, and black.

3.   Mustang die cast car 1:64, masking tape, two side tape, black sticker, cardboard paper, glue, and a4 sticker.

First, I design the theme of the clock will be from, what I already have. Then look and the decals of the Mustang on that year, print out, and cut into the shape. I started to lay out the decals on the face of the clock. After I know the size of the decals, then color printed them on the sticker paper, and cut into the shapes.

Clean the clock all the surface, next I spray white paint on the face of the clock and the edge of the clock, and all the hands. The hands I spray in different color: white, red, and blue. For the face of the clock, I use masking tape into the strips, before I spray orange color. I spray until I can’t see any white, maybe 3- 4 coating, do the round edge of the clock as well. The middle black strip should wilder than the diecast car and the small strip should be good proportion to the middle strip (Relation to the strip in the hood of the Mustang). Next, I mask covered all the orange area, then spray paint black color, after dry, I remove the masking tape. next, I will have an orange and black stripes clock face.

I start to apply the stickers, arrangement as I design on to the face of the clock. I attach the hands on the clock.  Next, I cut the card board strip and attach the black sticker, to the inside of the round edge to make the contrary to the orange face of the clock and it will go well with the black stripes. The strip around the inside edge will block the face of the clock not to pushing forward into the diecast car against the glass. Next to make the base for the diecast car to rise up from the round bottom. Next is to place the face of the clock into the round edge and seal the back face with glue. Now place the battery, set time, and hang on the wall. It will tell time and look cool in any rooms.

Thank you.
