Find the Right Sound

Start by filling the bottle until it makes a sound you enjoy. Use the marker to mark the level of the water, this will be were you drill the hole.

Next, empty the water and put tape over the mark you made in the last step. This will prevent the bottle from shattering when you drill into it. Make sure to apply the oil to the tape.

Drill Into the Bottle

Grab an adult if you are not already one, and ask them to begin drilling into the the bottle on the mark you made, make sure to use a carbide-tipped drill bit when drilling into glass. This hole will allow the bottle to drain to the level it needs to be at to make the same sound as it did before.

Repeat (optional)

Repeat the process as many times as you want, varying the water height, until you have a set you are satisfied with.
