Wooden Lighthouse | Laser Cut, Ornament, Desktop

Today, I'm sharing a multi-layer wooden lighthouse that's perfect for decorating shelves, desks, or even as a personalized gift. Using laser-cut plywood, some paint, and basic assembly, you'll have a beautiful, functional decor piece in no time.
Supplies
Materials:
- 3mm thickness plywood(40*40cm)
- Wood glue
- Acrylic paint
- Sandpaper (optional, for smoothing edges)
Equipment:
- 20W NEJE Laser Cutter
- Software: Lightburn
Upload the Design File

Start by downloading a multi-layer lighthouse design file. Upload it into Ligh-tburn, ensuring it fits within your machine working area. The design should include multiple layers for the lighthouse structure, support and frame.

Laser Cutting

Place your 3mm plywood sheet securely in the laser cutter. Align the design file precisely on the material. Set the parameters:
For Engraving(Line): Speed: 5000mm/min, Power: 70%, Air Assist: Off.
for Cutting: Speed: 450mm/min, Power: 90%, Air Assist: On.
If your machine's work area is smaller, just divide the file.
Coloring and Assembling

Once cut, lightly sand any rough edges with sandpaper for a smooth finish. Paint the pieces before assembly. You can refer to my color scheme, or try your own color combination.
After coloring is completed, gluing the layers together, starting from the base and ensure the cutouts align perfectly for depth effects. Use wood glue sparingly on joints for a clean look, and clamp lightly while drying for about 30 minutes.
