  1. Place 800 ml of flour on a clean table.
  2. Add an egg in the middle.
  3. Mix it while adding all the other ingredients
  4. Add pinch of salt and sugar

The dough will stick to your hands. Just keep mixing. It should come loose eventually. If not, then just add bit more flour.

Instead of wheat flour you could try rice or corn flour.

Let it sit for 45 minutes.

In the meanwhile you could make the mashed potatoes.

  1. Peel two potatoes and cut them into small pieces to make the boiling process go faster.
  2. Also chop one onion and add it to the pot.
  3. Boil until the potatoes are soft.
  4. Drain the water
  5. Mash it!
  6. Add some milk and butter (salt)

Roll the dough quite thin.

If you do not have a dedicated roller for that then a wine bottle with the labels removed works also.

Use a cup to cut out circular shapes. The bigger the diameter of your cup the bigger the dumplings will be.

Cut cheese into small pieces.

Now it is just up to you which combination you want to make. We added bit of blue cheese to every dumpling which made them super tasty.

Leave the side that has more flour on the outside. Wet the rim of the dough slightly with water. This will help it stick together better. Gently press the dumpling into half moon shape with your fingers.

You could also connect the ends so that the dumpling would form a nice circle.

You Are Done!

What´s left now is to find your pot or pan and start cooking.

Or you could lay them in a box and put in deep freezer. They will last long time in there and be always ready to cook.

Serve with sour cream and veggies of your liking!

Bon appetit!
