Mosquito Out: Mesh of Safety
An ordinary window or ventilation lacks a proper protector. This is the place where a mosquito gets into the room and disrupts one's sweet dreams at night.
But wait … The solution to the problem exists.
I fixed a wire mesh on a wooden frame of appropriate dimensions and then attached it in front of all the windows of my house with the help of some iron nails.
Anyone can do this to protect his/her -self from ever challenging and brutally annoying MOSQUITOES.
Supplies
Basically we need,
- A wire mesh
- Some wood logs for timber extraction
- Iron nails ( 25 pcs. Approx)
- A hammer
- An inch tape
Make the Frame
This is the most crucial step.
Since we are making a kind of cover for the window, we will first measure the dimensions of the window and then replicate it in order to make the frame.
Timber is wood that has been processed into beams and planks for use as a building material. You may fabricate frames of different shapes and sizes. Ensure to buy a good quality wood log for extraction of timber. A timber extracted out of teak wood is my first choice
- Measure the length and breadth of a window, with the help of an inch of tape, if it is rectangular. Else measure the diameter if it is circular.
- Flatten the wire mesh over the wooden frame and fix it permanently with the help of iron nails.
- Make sure to keep the nail perpendicular to the base and hammer it until it is half-centimetre out. Then hammer it in a sideways direction and then again hammer it on top.
Fix It Properly
Once it is ready fix the frame in front of the window.
A Six Months Old Mesh Fixture on Exhaust Window Looks Like..
We are not making any kind of hypothesis. The impact is real for sure. The pic (attatched) is the testimonial of my work.
Do YOU wanna do some activity ?
You may count on fingers the number of mosquitoes which could have entered the kitchen via exhaust window if I didn't put the PROTECTOR on time.
