This homemade quiche was made with ground moose, but you can substitute moose for another source of protein. Here is a homemade quiche recipe that was made using what we had.

We did the Preparations the night before we put the pie together and baked it. If you are using the pie crust from Everyday Essentials, remember to set the refrigerated pie crust onto the counter.

Now we'll list what we used and then instruct you on how we did made this moose quiche!

Supplies

Preparing the Pie Crust:

2 room-temperature refrigerated pie crusts (Everyday Essentials) for two separate pies

9 inch glass

Bind the Meat Mixture in a bowl:

1 pound of ground moose

about 1-1/3 cup chopped mushrooms

about 1/3 cup chopped onions

about 1-1/3 cup cut green bans

Make the Egg Mixture in separate bowl:

6 eggs (per pie)

3/4 cups of milk

Shredded cheese (enough to top the pies)

Paprika

Salt & Peppper

+ Apart from the standard kitchen utensils we also used a hand powered veggie chopper

Here we chopped the mushrooms, green beans, and onions with the "hand powered veggie chopper". Then we stored the vegetables in the refrigerator and shifted our attention to cooking the meat. Cook the moose meat thoroughly (until you see no more red). Remember to set out the refrigerated pie crust(s) on the counter. You can also toss the mushrooms, onions, and meat into one bowl and store until the next day.

Oven & Crust

Preheat the oven to 375°F (or 190°C).

Roll out the refrigerated pie crust and place it in your 9 inch glass similar to the picture. Then set it aside.

The Egg Mixture

Here is where we whisked six raw eggs into a separate bowl. And then added 3/4 cup of milk with the desired amount of paprika, salt, and pepper. Whisking them altogether, the egg mixture is done.

Combine

If haven't combined the meat mixture, then the time is now. Meat — mushrooms — green beans — onions.

Scoop the meat mixture into the pie crust.

Then pour the egg mixture.

Cover the top with shredded cheese.

Then bake.

Bake

Place the glass (on a pan if you wish) in the oven for about 40 minutes.
