Monster Mittens

PB300016.JPG
These "easy on" mittens have no thumb hole to wrestle with and no left or right to confuses. Cute monsters keep kids warm and they are fun enough to keep on! The difficulty on this project is Advanced beginner but if you are just starting out polar fleece is very forgiving fabric to work with.  I have made the patten in 3 sizes;  small is baby size, medium is toddler, and large is young child. I'm sure you could size it larger with no problem. This project cost less than $5 and I was able to make several pair.

Pin rickrack around the palm piece on the right side, 1/4" in from the edge to the center of the rickrack turning the last bit off the edge at the beginning and end.  Bast in place.

On back piece place eyes on the mittens at the star marks. You can appliqué, embroider if you are fortunate to have a machine , use buttons or plastic snaps for eyes. ( buttons should not be used for children under 3!)
I used felt and a snap for eyes.
