Hi there!

This is my recipe/instructions for Monkey Bread- which is a cinnamon bread confection that's been in my family for about 16 years :)

For this your going to need as follows:

2 cups of sugar

2 tablespoons of cinnamon

1 1/2 sticks of butter

3 packages of Pillsbury Grands!™

Ceramic (or other oven safe) dish

It's a pretty straight forward recipe, good luck! Enjoy!

Preparing the Dough

The first step for this part is going to be mixing together one cup of sugar and the cinnamon. Make sure that you stir it thoroughly, with no pockets of pure sugar or cinnamon.

Next, you're going to open the 3 packages of Pillsbury Grands™, and cut each biscuit into fourths (see picture above).

Once you have diced them all up, you will roll the quarters around on the sugar/cinnamon. Make sure that they are completely covered in the mixture, with no bare dough left exposed. There should be plenty of cinnamon/sugar for all of the bread.

After coating all of them in cinnamon/sugar, pack them tightly in the ceramic dish. (See picture)

Syrup Glaze

Once you have stuffed all the dough into the dish,it's time to preheat your oven and start on the glaze.

For the glaze you will use the other cup of sugar and the 1 1/2 sticks of butter.

Melt the butter in a small saucepan. Once it has all melted, add the sugar. Stir and keep over heat until the mixture begins to bubble.

Drizzle this over the uncooked Monkey Bread. Then, take a couple handfuls of the cinnamon/sugar and sprinkle on top.

Baking Time!

Now that it is all set to bake, put the dish in the oven at 350 degrees for 45 minutes (or until the dough has risen and just starts to burn).

If you use a ceramic dish, be very careful! It get's very very very hot! Wait about ten minutes, or until cooled, to eat.

Enjoy! :)
