In this video we will analyze the damaged batteries and also we will connect li ion battery with tp4056 charging module.

2. TP4056 charging module
3. Mini cooler

You can the circuit diagram of mini cooler.

There are 3 Ni Cd batteries in series means the total voltage of battery pack is 3.6v and current remains same which is 1000mAh

The motor is directly connected with batteries via a slide switch.

The charging jack is directly connected with batteries without any protection circuit or any current control circuit

1. Set multimeter to current setting which is 10A.
2. Black prob of multimeter should be in center.
3. Red prob should be at left of multimeter.
4. Connect charging pin and turn on charger.
5. Measures current at positive wire of charging cable via connecting it in series.
6. The charging current is around 0.8A
7. So the charging time is battery current /charging current
8. 1000/800 = 1.25 hours which is 80min
9. Let's assume 100 min charging time because in real life there are many losses.

1. I have left it for charging for 100min which is approx 1 hour 40 min.
2. After this i have turned on to discharge.
3. Ni cd battery took 15 min to discharge it means it's charging and discharging cycle is over.

• I am using li ion battery as replacement because it is easy to available.
• Also we are using tp4056 charging module
• TP4056 has micro usb port and also comes in c type port which makes it easy to charge.

• I have purchased li ion battery from my nearby store so it does not have datasheet. So we can't see the recommended charging current.
• So we will use charging current approx half of its current rating.
• To choose the charging current change R3 resistor in tp4056 charging module.
• I have changed it with 3k resistor to set 400mA charging current.
• The blue led in charging module indicates the battery which are connected is fully charged or there is no battery connected.
• Red led in charging module indicates the battery which is connected is charging.

• Connect the circuit as shown in circuit diagram

• Make a hole for micro usb
• Make two small hole for blue and green led.
