- measure your first strip to 21 cm long

- once you have your first trip measured, make each strip 6 mm shorter all the way until strip number 15

- make the 16th strip 6 cm

- make the 17th strip 5 cm

- make the 18th strip 4 cm

- make the 19th strip 3 cm

- make the 20th strip 1 cm

- cut each to the specific size and then sand the strips with round edges

- drill a whole in the complete center of the base to fit the trirod (make the whole at least a 1/4 inch deep)

---last step comes down to your star---

- draw out any shape of star you would like

- BEFORE you cut, make sure that the star has proportional sides and is eligible to be drilled in the middle and still look neat

- if the star looks good, cut it out and sand it to very sharp edges that way it sticks out as the leading feature

- drill the whole 1/2 of an inch deep and slide it on to the tri rod

- Now that you are finished adjusting all your pieces and cutting and sanding. You can adjust your tree / tree branches to look however you like.

- If you'd like, you can sand out designs on your branches and make them look authentic.

- Make sure your base is sturdy enough to hold the tree is a still place without tipping over.
