Mixed Fruit Halwa

IMG_9627.JPG

We had lots of fruits lying at home, some harvested from the kitchen garden and some purchased from the local fruit shop. Most of the fruits started to over-ripen and the children could not consume all at once. So we came up with an idea of making Mixed fruit Halwa with whatever fruits available at home. The Mixed Fruit Halwa turned out to be more delicious than expected and whatever quantity we made just disappeared from the serving tray.

The Mixed Fruit Halwa can be served as dessert or as a stand alone sweet dish to kids at any time.

Please go through the instructable on how to make Mixed fruit Halwa at home

  • Now we got extracts from all fruits ready with us.
  • Add all the pulps collected from different fruits and Pomegranate juice to a mixer grinder jar
  • Puree the fruit mixer without adding any water and keep aside

Now all our preliminary works have been completed and we can start preparing the Mixed Fruit Halwa

Preparation Step 1

IMG_9619.JPG

  • Now add 3/4th of the powdered sugar and another 2 to 3 teaspoons of ghee to the pan
  • Mix well and test for sugar. If required add little more
  • Stir continuously with the wooden ladle from outer edge to the center of the mix scrapping through the bottom. this will prevent the mixture from sticking to the pan
  • If you feel that the mixture is sticking to the bottom, add teaspoons of ghee at intervals and stir well
  • Once the mixture is properly done you will find ghee oozes out at edges

Preparation Step 3
