Mix-Match Pillowcase Dress
This is one of many original designs I created for my daughter. It is fully lined with soft prewashed cotton muslin.
I started by cutting strips of fabric to the same width and length (although they can be made varying widths). I sewed them all together without creating a pattern in the different strips - i think it adds more for there to be no pattern.
I then zig zag stitched along each of the unfinished seams strips. This helps to protect it against multiple washings. Another option is to just run another straight stitch down each strip so that you have 2 stitches running parallel.
