“MistMingle Umbrella: Reinventing Umbrella for Comfortable Sunny Walks”
If you’re someone who loves outdoor activities like exploring, fishing, camping, or simply strolling through nature, the only thing that might hold you back is the intense heat and blazing sun. On my quest for finding a simplest solution to this problem and regain my outdoor life back I have reinvented the umbrella !.
A cooling umbrella that enhances outdoor life by offering effective heat relief, improved comfort, and increased protection, making it an invaluable tool for enjoying the outdoors in comfort and style.
In this project, I have developed an umbrella that integrates a small DC motor fan circuit and an ultrasonic mist generator. This setup creates a cooling effect by dispersing mist-infused air, which will keep us comfortable during hot, sunny days. The aim is to offer a practical and innovative solution for staying cool while walking outdoors in the heat.
Supplies
List of Items needed for the project:
1-Two 5V DC motors
2-Two fan propellers
3-One mist generator
4-Wires
5-Two 3.3V cells
6-Three switches
7-Box for power module
8-Steel wire for frame
9-Thin plastic pipe
10- Two plastic box
11- Metal fastening wire.
12-Umbrella.
Tools:

Making the Frame for Fans and Mist Generator
The frame is made using metal wire, Plastic pipe cover and a small box that is used to attach the whole setup to the umbrella as shown in the pictures.
Wrap the metal wire around the motor and twist it to attach to the wire. Now insert the plastic pipe over the metal wire and pass the motor wire through the pipe as shown in picture do the same with the second motor fand and the mist generator. Attach the other end of these three setup (Two motor fan and One Mist generator) to the small box by wrapping the wire around it Your frame for fand and missed generator is ready.
Attaching the Fans and Mist Generator to the Umbrella
Cut slots in the middle of the small box as shown in picture for attaching to the umbrella Shaft. Now the whole setup is attach to the umbrella by fixing the box using screws as shown in picture.
Designing the Power Source and Connections
For the powering the fan and mist generator, A module with three switch is designed. Two 3.3V batteries are connected in series the positive end is connected to one terminal of each three switch, The other terminal of all the three switch is connected to one terminals of two motor and one mist generator. The negative terminal of the battery is connected to the other terminal of two motors and mist generator. The whole setup is boxed inside a plastic box as shown. Refer to Circuit diagram for more information.
Testing - Let's Go Outside !
The design will look like as shown in picture, Fill some water in mist generator, plugin your batteries you are all set to roam the hot outside, just turn on your supply of mist-infused air under your umbrella.
