Miss La Sen Hexagon Swing Lantern-走馬燈-Đèn Kéo Quân

In Chinese, they call this lantern“走馬燈”or “廻り燈篭”. In Vietnamese, people call it “ Đèn kéo quân”.
It is also called the revolving lantern. Its principle is due to the heat of the candle or the electric light. It makes the propellers swivel, the images on the lantern will slew.

Print Out the Patterns.

Cut Out the Lantern Shape on the Thick Cardboard.

Use the Yellow Glass Paper. Glue It Onto the Inside Rectangles on the Lantern Shape.

Cut the The Bottom Bracket on the Thick Cardboard.

Fold 6 Corners and Glue the 2 Ends of the Lantern Together.

Glue the Bottom Bracket Onto the Body of the Lantern.

Trace the 16 Propeller Round on the Thick Cardboard.

Cut out the 16 Propeller round. The heat, the air will run through the 16 slits. It will make the lantern swivel.

Use the Glass Paper Which Is in A4 Size Paper.

Roll the Glass Paper Into the Tubular Shape and Glue Its Ends Together.

The 16 Propeller-round Is Larger Than the Tubular Shape About 1.5 Cm to Glue Them Together.

Use the Glue-gun to Glue the 16 Propeller -round Onto the Top of the Tubular Shape.

Because of the 16 slits so the air, the heat can run through and the propellers can rotate. It's like as the pinwheel.

Use the Zinc Wire to Insert in the Center of the Tubular Shape. It Is Like a Prop.

Cut the Miss La Sen’s Images to Glue Around the Tubular Shape.

Cut the Top Bracket on the Thick Cardboard.

Glue the Top Bracket Onto the Top of the Lantern.

Put the tubular shape in the center of the lantern, at the bottom.

Poke the Zinc Wire at the Top to Hang.

.At the bottom of the lantern, you can add the Chainette Tassels.

You Can Put the Candle in the Tubular Shape.

Set the candle at the bottom of the lantern. You also insert the electric light on the top of the lantern if you don't want to use the candle.

It Is Due to the Heat of the Candle/ Electric Light Makes the Propellers Swing.

Then the photos on the lantern will slew.The lantern looks very funny and interesting
If you put this lantern outdoor, the wind will make the propellers swivel.
In Asia, these lanterns appear many places on Mid-Autumn.
