Mirrorg Lamp

This is a simple light with 4 mirors inside which are reflecting light of a led projector on the wall and ceiling. It is intended for indirect lightning. Mirrors are giving more light but are also projecting some patterns on the walls.

Since the light is pretty intense, it has to be placed high enough so no one could have direct look inside the lamp.

I used 3mm plywood and 6mm MDF for construction. A garden led projector for light and some wood glue and double sided tape.

Wood were laser cut and engraved at my Fablab. I engraved 3 sides.

Since my plywood was pretty curved, I used some tricks to glue it as straight as I could. Light paper was used to avoid to glue the light pieces with the pieces of wood I used to straighten things up.

I used double sided tape to fix mirrors inside the lamp. It was designed so one side is against the wood and leaving enough space on the other side to put another mirror.

The base of the is done in such a way that mirrors are supported by it. Tape is just preventing it to tilt but it is not carrying the full weight of mirrors.

A garden led projector is secured with screws on the 6mm mdf plate. It is thick enough for screws. Holes are meant to let the electric cable to get through but also to allow air to circulate around the light. Leds are not generation too much heat but this one can become a bit hot.
