Minty Pizza
Social media platforms got weirder when I saw a picture of candy cane pizza. This abomination piqued my interest, because it is fairly weird. I know pizza toppings can be surprisingly controversial, and people get judgemental. So I might get questionable looks, but it is fun to try something once in a while. The pizza had a strong peppermint taste with a salty sweet flavor. Maybe if you are a pizza and peppermint lover this recipe can intrigue you.
Supplies
Dough:
I used a store bought Trader Joe's plain pizza dough, but you can make it yourself as well.
Cheese:
Shredded mozzarella
Sauce:
Trader Joe's marinara sauce
Candy:
Peppermint nougats
Flatten the Dough
To prevent any food waste every ingredient amount was cut down. Let the dough sit at room temperature until it is no longer cold. Remove the dough and place it on a baking pan with parchment. Flatten the dough into a desired shape.
Put Ingredients
Spread the marinara sauce and the cheese out to your liking. Finally put 1 ½ peppermint nougats on the pizza.
Bake It
Preheat the oven 425 F and bake for 12-15 minutes.
Try It
Take it out of the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before eating it.
This pizza is definitely out of the ordinary, but is something fun to try once in a while. >:D
