Miniture Polymer Clay Cacti and Succulent

In this Instructable, we are going to make tiny plants from polymer clay.

Note about project: My plants started falling apart after baking, so you should make sure the plants are secure in the pots and that the leaves or parts of the plants are on well. An idea I had, was to run wire through the plant. (Maybe that would work? . _ .)

Supplies

You will need:

Polymer clay in the colors:

Terracotta

Different color greens (Try adding translucent Sculpey for different effects.)

Dark brown

If your plant has a flower, you will need some pink or red.

An oven for baking

Parchment paper for baking and it is a great surface for working on.

A Tray

Note: I like using Sculpey III.

Make Your Pots

Using the color of the pot, roll a stump of clay into a plant pot shape. Then roll out a thin strip to wrap around the pot. Fill the pot with a piece of dark brown clay.

Then using the greens or colors of your plant, create the shape of the pieces and put them together to create your plant.

Place plant(s) on a tray lined with parchment paper and bake according to your clay's instructions.

I did mine at 175 for 15 minutes.

Tip: Make sure the plant is put together well, so that it won't fall apart.

And Your Done!
