Mini Watermelon on Plate by the Crafty Potato

This is my first design without any help so let's hope this doesn't suck!
What You Need:

White yarn (plate)
dark pink, black, and lime green yarn (watermelon)
3.75 mm crochet hook
scissors
The Watermelon

In green ch 13 plus 1, skip a stch and sc in each ch st at the end and tie off
In pink st to add the new color, sc across turn around
Dec, sc until 2 stch away from the end and dec turn around
Dec until 2 stch away from the end dec turn around
Sc in each sc turn around
Dec 4 times turn around
Dec 2 times turn around
St and tie off
to make the seeds i did something really complicated because i dont have a crochet needle but if you have one it should be a lot easier.
The Plate

Row 1: magic circle (4 st)
Row 2: 2 sc in each st, st in first sc (8 st)
Row 3: 2 sc in each sc, st in first sc (16 st)
Row 4: 2 sc in each sc, st in first sc (24 st)
Row 5: 2 sc in each sc, st in first sc
Row 6: sc in each sc, st in first sc
now to add a bit of flare to the plate:
In black ch 2 on the edge of the plate, skip 2 stch and sc repeat all around the plate st and tie off.
