I have made a natural-looking mini tree using Polyester sewing thread, aluminum wire, glue, dry grass and waste materials. Instead of a fancy and expensive craft store-bought artificial tree, you can make your own very beautiful and natural-Looking tree using very cheap with waste materials. I have done this using the limited resources but you can use better alternative craft materials. We can use it as a showpiece. It is very stylish and simple.

The tree stem was made up of a sewing thread holder and Aluminium wires. Cut ten pieces of Aluminium wire (length=12cm) each with the help of wire stripping plier.

Make holes on the sewing thread holder with the help of iron nail at different positions. Insert one end of the aluminium wire in the hole and fold it along its length. The upper wire folded in shape of branches and bottom wires in shape of roots of the tree with the help of combination plier.

Now cover the entire assembly of sewing thread holder and Aluminium wires with brown colored sewing thread until its gets a shape of tree stems and roots.

Each Sewing thread reel/ spool consists of 200m long thread. Two reels/ spools were used to cover the entire stem-branches-root assembly.

For Green leaves, I used green Colored threads of different shades. Take a piece of mica sheet (size = 11cmX6.5cm). Wrap all the thread of one sewing thread reel/ spool along the width of the Mica sheet. After wrapping all the thread make bundles of these threads with the help of sewing needle as shown in picture. Each bundle of thread consists of 10 to 15 threads. Now cut these threads along the length of mica sheet with the help of paper cutting blade. I made total 36 bundles of green thread using three sewing thread reel/ spool.

Out of the 36 thread bundles:- bind 18 bundles, 10 bundles, 3 bundles and 4 bundles separately and one bundle is used to tie all the above bundles with tree branches with the help sewing needle.

Paste the 4 bundles consists of 15 threads on the branches with the help of glue and other bundles were attached with the help of sewing needle as shown in picture. Trim extra threads with the help of scissors.

For the base/stand of the tree, I used a tape holder, a metal rod with one end threaded and a plastic gear. Take a piece of Cardboard and paste it to one side of the tape holder. The tape holder is covered with dry grass glued to it.

First insert plastic gear in the tape holder and then insert the Metal rod at the centre of the plastic gear. Put the tree on the metal rod.

Finally, fill the remaining area of the tape holder with sand and small stones to make it more beautiful. It’s done.

Thanks for Watching.
