Mini Terrarium : )

I was bored today (as usual 😭) and decided to make this terrarium for my first Instructables post!

Supplies

  1. Tic-Tac container
  2. Moss
  3. A tiny bit of soil
  4. An assortment of small plants and twigs
  5. Rubbing alcohol or hand sanitizer

Prepping the Container

Make sure to eat all remaining Tic-Tacs to make room for your plants.

Clean Container

Remove the label to the best of your ability. If you cannot completely remove it, try soaking it in water or rubbing it off with hand sanitizer or rubbing alcohol. This is definitely the hardest and most tedious part of the process, but it only takes around 10 minutes.

Disassemble Container

Detach the top white part of the container from the clear piece.

Layer Soil

Make sure you have your soil. Lay a thin layer at the bottom of your container, about 1/8th of an inch deep.

PRO TIP- Use a funnel or else your soil will get stuck to the sides of the container. Make sure you moisten the soil before continuing to the next step.

Shape and Insert Moss

Place your moss on a piece of paper and use the top of the Tic-Tac container as a cookie cutter to punch out the correct shape. Add this piece into your container and push it until it comes in full contact with the soil. You may need to wipe down the sides of the container if any dirt got on them. Moisten slightly.

Finish

Add any other natural elements you would like. I recommend using succulents or weeds because they multiply fast and are very hardy. Finish it off by replacing the lid. Make sure that you water your terrarium at least 3 times a week!
