Hi there! I'm thrilled to share my latest project: a charming mini TV light box that brings a nostalgic glow to any space. This compact, retro-style TV box uses laser-cut plywood and a printed paper design pasted inside to create a glowing effect when lit. Perfect as a decorative piece or a unique gift, this project is customizable, beginner-friendly, and adds a cozy, handmade vibe to your home!

Materials:

1. 3mm thickness plywood (30*30cm)
2. Wood glue
3. Printed paper design (cut to fit the TV screen area)
4. LED strip or small LED light (battery-powered, for illumination)
5. Double-sided tape or glue for paper design

Equipment:

1. 20W NEJE Laser Cutter
2. Software: Lightburn
3. Printer (for the paper design)
4. Scissors or craft knife (for cutting the paper design)

Download this mini TV box file. Upload it into Lightburn, ensuring it fits within your machine working area.

Secure the 3mm plywood sheet in the laser cutter and align the design file with the material. Set the cutting parameters: Speed: 400mm/min, Power: 85%, Air Assist: On.

Meanwhile, print the bedroom background paper on plain white paper.（87*60mm）

Lightly sand the plywood edges for a smooth finish, if needed. Optionally, apply acrylic paint to the exterior of the TV body for a polished look—bright colors like red or black work great for a retro vibe.

Glue the TV body pieces (sides, top, bottom) to form the box structure, ensuring the front screen cutout aligns properly. Use wood glue sparingly and clamp gently for 20-30 minutes to set.

Attach the printed paper design to the hollow side of wood using double-sided tape or a thin layer of glue.

Place the LED strip or small LED light inside the box through the hole, behind the paper design, to create the glowing effect. Test the LED light to ensure the paper design glows evenly. (You can also secure the LED with tape or glue)
