Create a mini pencil using part of a real pencil. The best part is, it works!

Supplies

You will need...

Box cutter, scissors, glue gun, pencil, fine tip pen, foil paper, yellow and orange origami paper, or light weight paper.

The Lead

Cut into your pencil to make the length of the mini pencil.

Shave away the wood of the pencil. I found that pulling toward your self removes the wood best...be careful.

Keep going till you get to just the lead.

This is the most difficult part of the project.

The Yellow

Break the lead away from the pencil.

Add a thin layer of hot glue to the edge of the yellow origami paper, place the lead in the glue and let cool.

Add a thin layer of hot glue to the rest of the yellow paper and roll quickly around the lead.

Roll until you get a nice yellow color, cut off the excess.

Decide how big you want the width of the eraser to be and double it.

Make the foil half the width of the eraser paper.

Attach the orange paper to the pencil by first adding a thin layer of glue on the edge, and let it cool. Then put hot glue on the rest of the orange paper and roll quickly around the pencil

Attach the foil in the same manner as the orange paper.

When you are done use the fine tip pen to add the writing on your pencil. (optional)

You now have a mini pencil😁
