Mini K'nex Super Bow
Hi my name is E! Today I will show you how to make a mini bow and arrow just out of K'nex. It is super simple and takes 5-10 minutes, based on how fast you can be. In the end, it shoots pretty far so stick around to make one!
Supplies
17 Blue Pieces
12 Yellow Pieces
20 Yellow Connectors
4 Grey Connectors
1 Rubber Band
Scotch Tape or Painter's Tape
The Front of the Bow
Let's start by making the front of the bow. This is where the arrow will go when it is loaded. This step is quite simple. Use 2 Yellow Connectors and 4 Blue Pieces to make the parts on the top of the picture. Use 2 Yellow Connectors and 2 Yellow Pieces to make the parts on the bottom.
Reinforcing
Next take 4 Blue Pieces and attach them to the sides of the Yellow Connectors. This can be very frustrating, but make sure to keep trying!
The Supporting Parts
Our next step is to make the securing parts of the bow. This keeps everything together. This step can be a little tricky, so be patient. Take 4 Yellow Connectors and 1 Blue Piece to make this part. If you want to be working ahead, make 4 of these!
Connecting
Now, connect everything together. If you did it right, it should look like this picture.
The Yellow Pieces
Now take 4 Yellow Pieces and snap them into the 2 Yellow Connectors at the top. It will look like the picture above. Do this on both sides.
More Supporting Parts
If you didn't read Step 3, then here you go: We are making some more supporting parts. If you need a refresher on how to make them, scroll back up to Step 3.
Almost Done
Connect the supporting pieces to the big chunk of the bow. We are almost done!
Finishing the Bow
Sorry in advance for the bad picture! In the middle of the Yellow Connectors, there is a hole. You want to take 2 Blue Pieces and put them through the hole until they poke through the other side. Next pull out a little on the Blue Pieces and slide the Rubber on. Slide the Blue Pieces back through the hole and put on the Grey Connectors on the end of each Blue Piece. Finally, in the middle of the rubber band, use your tape and tightly roll a little piece around the rubber band. This will help you pull back farther to get more power.
Safety
Make sure not to shoot anyone in the eye with the bow because it hurts!
