Here's a quick, cheap and easy way to have some fun! In this video, I'll show you how you can make a cool mini airsoft BB launcher to have fun plinking small targets. It's safe enough to use indoors and anyone can make it!

Just remember to use caution and play with the launcher away from animals, people or property that does not belong to you. Wearing eye protection is highly recommended!

Here's what you'll need -

  • A pen
  • A pencil
  • 2 x rubber bands
  • A roll of electrical tape
  • 6mm Airsoft BB's
  • A ruler
  • A pair of scissors
  • A utility knife
  • About 3 minutes of your time

If you're a fan of reading lengthy articles, go to the next step.

Start off by taking the pen apart.

We'll only be using this piece as our barrel so set the other parts aside for another project.

At this point you'd want to check if your pencil passes through the barrel. It should slide freely to about half the length of the barrel. The barrel should also be big enough for a BB to fit through without getting stuck.

Next, cut the pencil to about 4 inches in length.

Then gather up the barrel, the pencil and the rubber bands and let's assemble the BB launcher!

Begin by cutting 2 pieces of electrical tape and then use them to attach the rubber bands together like this.

There should be a space between each piece of tape, just big enough for the barrel to pass through.

Next, use some electrical tape to hold the rubber bands in position like this. You can cover the rest of the barrel with more electrical tape to give it a custom look.

Next, Insert the pencil you cut earlier into the back of the barrel and then stretch the rubber bands behind the pencil like this.

Use more electrical tape to hold the rubber bands onto the pencil like this and you're done!

To use the BB launcher, load up a BB through the front of the barrel, pull back on the pencil and then release to launch!
