Minecraft Scythe and Dual Daggers

IMG_4597.png

What are we making?

  1. One Prototype Dagger (for practice)
  2. Then start making 2 daggers but now we are measuring the actual pixels (do your best!)
  3. Start the main attraction - The Scythe

Supplies

  1. Foam
  2. Foam Cutter
  3. Paint
  4. Blue
  5. Black
  6. White
  7. Brown
  8. Sponge Brush works best!
  9. Ruler

Prototype Dagger (not Necessary)

  1. Grab a device, any like Chromebook, PC, laptop, or phone
  2. Pull up the dagger image
  3. Then, with a Foam piece, start tracing a Prototype with a sharpie
  4. Then, with your foam cutter, you can now start cutting
  5. If you want, you can paint, but it is a prototype after all

  1. Now that you have a general idea of what to do, grab a small ruler, another foam piece
  2. Then you can look at the image (of the dagger) and count the outer pixels.
  3. Then follow these steps
  4. Measure (1 pixel is about 0.5 inches)
  5. Trace
  6. Number
  7. (Look at the Image)
  8. Now you can start cutting your foam
  9. Pro tip!
  10. For the second dagger, put a piece of foam under the traced one, and now you can cut 2 at once!
  11. Once finished, you can start painting
  12. It is your choice of color, and you don't need to follow image colors (get creative!)
  13. As you can see, it is 10 times better than the prototype and it is bigger when you measure

The Scythe

  1. Now that you are waiting for your paint to dry, you can start the main and final weapon, the Scythe.
  2. You are essentially repeating the same thing as the dagger, but it's a bit more challenging!
  3. Grab a small ruler and another foam piece
  4. You can look at the image (of the Scythe) and count the outer pixels.
  5. Then follow the steps
  6. Measure (1 pixel is about 0.5 inches)
  7. Trace
  8. Number
  9. (Look at the Image)
  10. Now you can start painting (get creative!)

You Are Done!

Now that you are done, make sure to paint all sides of the foam and let it dry overnight. If you love Minecraft like me, you know that there are many other tools. Using this method, you can create almost all of the Minecraft items, even some food!
