How to Make Minecraft-Themed Pumpkins

Learn how to paint Minecraft characters on pumpkins!

Supplies

4 pumpkins

A variety of acrylic paint colors

Gather Your Pumpkins

Gather 4 pumpkins of any size. If you have large pumpkins, you’ll use more paint. If you have smaller pumpkins, you will use less paint.

Paint the Enderman Pumpkin

Enderman Pumpkin:

1. You’ll need black, purple, and white paint, as well as a paint brush and a surface to squeeze your paint onto

2. Get one of your 4 pumpkins and paint it black

3. Wait for the layer to dry. (Optional: You can add multiple layers of paint if needed)

4. When the layer is dry, use the purple and white paint to make two shades of light purple

5. Paint the two rectangle-shaped eyes

  • Use the darker purple for the middle of the eyes and the lighter purple for the outside of the eyes

6. Wait for the paint to dry

The Enderman pumpkin is complete!

Paint the Zombie Pumpkin

Zombie Pumpkin:

1. Gather 3 shades of green paint

2. Get another one of the 4 pumpkins and use the light green paint and medium green paint to make a pixel effect on the pumpkin

3. Wait for the paint to dry

4. Use the dark green paint and 3 other shades of green for the details

  • Use black for the eyes
  • One at a time, use each shade of green paint and mix it with black paint to make the 3 additional shades of green paint

5. Wait for the paint to dry

The Zombie pumpkin is complete!

Paint the Creeper Pumpkin

Creeper Pumpkin:

1. Gather lime green and black paint

2. Get one of the 4 pumpkins and paint it lime green

3. Wait for the paint to dry

4. Use black paint to paint the square-shaped eyes and pixel-like mouth

5. Wait for the paint to dry

The Creeper is complete!

Paint the Stray Pumpkin

Stray Pumpkin:

1. Get another one of the 4 pumpkins

2. Gather blue and gray paint

3. Mix the blue and gray paint together to get a grayish-blue color (You may need to add some white if it isn’t light enough)

4. Paint the pumpkin with the color you created

5. Wait for the paint to dry

6. Use blue, gray, and black paint to make a dark gray-blue color

7. Use the dark gray-blue color to draw the details around the top of the pumpkin

8. Add black to the dark gray-blue colors to make it darker. Use this color to outline the details on the top of the pumpkin and the rectangle-shaped mouth

9. Use white paint to create rectangle-shaped eyes

10. Wait for the paint to dry

The Stray pumpkin is complete!
