MineCraft Heart (wood)

Two weeks ago I posted an instructable about how I made a wooden MineCraft Sword. I had some wood left and I made a wooden MineCraft Heart with it.
Initially I thought of making ten hearts... but after finishing one it became clear that would take quite some time... so one is enough for me :)
As I got quite some positive feedback on the Sword, I created this instructable for the heart as well.
Cut the Slat

The length of the pieces you see in the picture depend on the dimensions of the slat.
In my case the width = 1.7 cm, so I needed:
2 pieces of 3 * 1.7 = 5.1 cm
2 pieces of 5 * 1.7 = 8.5 cm
2 pieces of 7 * 1.7 = 11.9 cm
3 pieces of 8 * 1.7 = 13.6 cm
for the foot you are going to need
1 piece of 1.7 cm (a cube)
3 pieces of 3 * 1.7 = 5.1 cm
5 pieces of 5 * 1.7 = 8.5 cm
Depending on how smooth you want the end result to be, this is a good moment to sand the pieces
Assemble the Heart

Unfortunately I didn't take pictures when I assembled the heart. The picture you see is the end result (with the first paint on it)
Please see step 4 of the Instructable of the Sword. I used the same method to assemble the heart.
One exception though! The last piece I just glued, I didn't use screws to avoid any screws from being visible.
Sand the heart again if you want a smooth end result.
Prepare and Assemble the Foot

This step took more time than anticipated.
With a small metal file I made the pieces look like a row of "Polished Andesite" blocks.
glued it together (first 5x5 base and 3x3 layer, the glued the layers together)
I also took a tine piece of wood and drilled a hole in it (this will become clear in the next step)
Painting the Foot

This doesn't need any explanation... except maybe for the small piece of wood in the picture. Through the hole there is a piece of a bicycle spoke. This piece is suppose to look like single " Fence pole"
Check the top cube of the foot. I also drilled a hole in there.. The piece of bicycle spoke goes into this hole. (There's also a hole in the bottom of the heart)
Paint the Heart

Finishing

I think I am done with MineCraft now :)
