Milanesa De Carne Argentina
Milanesa de Carne is made from thin cut beef steaks. This recipe is popular in Argentina, and is usually served with fries or mashed potatoes. There are many types of Milanesa (such as chicken or pork, etc.) but beef is the most popular.
Supplies
INGREDIENTS
- 8 Thin Cut beef steaks (eye of round cut into thin slices is always a good choice)
- 3 Eggs
- Bread Crumbs (Italian or regular)
- Salt (a dash)
- Pepper (a dash)
- Parsley (a dash)
- Vegetable Oil (cover base of pan in oil)
TOOLS
- Large Bowl
- Whisk
- Kitchen Tongs
- Frying Pan
- Plate
- Paper Towels
Preparation
- Mix the eggs, salt, pepper, and oregano into a bowl.
- Marinate the steaks in the mix for at least 30 minutes (steaks should be submerged)
- Prepare a plate with paper towels to absorb any excess oil from the cooked Milanesas
Breading
- In a bowl add the bread crumbs
- Bread each steak top and bottom
- (Repeat step 2 for thicker breading as wanted)
Cooking
- Heat oil in a frying pan until it sizzles
- Place 1 steak (or 2 if you have a larger pan) into the pan
- Cook one side for at least 4 minutes or until golden brown
- Flip Milanesa with tongs
- Cook other side until golden brown, place cooked Milanesa on the plate with paper towels to absorb any excess oil
