Disclaimer:  Mug or cup will be very hot.

Hate making an entire batch of cookies?  Here's a quick and easy way to have a satisfying, sweet snack without all the mess.

Materials:

Microwave safe mug or glass cup.

Ingredients:

1 Tbl butter
1 Tbl granulated sugar
1 Tbl firmly packed brown sugar
5-6 drops of vanilla extract
Small pinch of kosher salt
1 egg yolk
Slightly less than 1/4 cup of all purpose flour
2 heaping tablespoons of semi sweet chocolate chips

Melt Butter

Melt butter in cup, do not boil.

First Mix

Add sugars, vanilla, and salt to the cup then stir.  When adding the vanilla, I poured it in the cap first to ensure I didn't accidentally pour the whole bottle in.

Egg Yolk

Separate the yolk from the white, and either discard the white or save it for a later date.  Then add just the yolk and stir again.

Flour and Chips

First, add the flour and stir.  Your mixture will now look like cookie dough.

Then, add the chips and stir

Cook

Cook your mixture in the microwave for 40-60 seconds, one minute being the max.  Start checking the cookie at 40 seconds.  If you find the cookie is too dry, it's likely been cooked too long.

Let it cool just a bit and ENJOY!
