Mickey Mouse Sweater

My nephew asked me to knit him a Mickey Mouse's sweater and this is what came out :)

Materials:

Country loom 5 skeins.

Homespun 1 skein.

Knitting needles 6mm (straight and circle needles).

Abbreviation:

K = knit

P = purl

CO = cast on

BO = bind off

St(s) = stitch(es)

** = repeat instructions following the asterisks as directed.

M1 = make one stitch.

size:

Width - 40 cm.

Length - 50 cm.

Sleeves - 48 cm.

CO 50 sts.

Row 1: *K2, P1* repeat from* to* until you finish the row.

Row 2: *P2, K1* repeat from* to* until you finish the row.

Row 3 and 5: repeat row 1.

Row 4 and 6: repeat row 2.

Rows 7, 9,11,13: knit (all the row),

Rows 8,10,12,14 purl (all the row).

Row 15: (beginning of the chart) knit 16 sts - with the background color blue, knit 4 sts - with the pattern color black ( I used double thread because the thickness's differences ), knit 20 sts with the blue thread until the end of the row.

Row 16: P15 with the blue thread, P1 with the black thread, P4 with the blue thread, P1 with the black thread, P19 with the blue thread.

Rows 17- 62: follow the chart like in row 15 and 16.

Row 63: BO 3 sts, follow the chart until the end of the row.

Row 64: BO 3 sts, follow the chart until the end of the row.

Row 65: BO 2 sts, follow the chart until the end of the row.

Row 66: BO 2 sts, follow the chart until the end of the row.

Row 67: BO 1 sts, follow the chart until the end of the row.

Row 68: BO 1 sts, follow the chart until the end of the row.

Rows 69,71,73,75,77: knit

Rows 70,72,74,76,78: purl

Row 79: K 17 sts, B O4 sts, K 17 sts.

Row 80: P 17 sts, with another thread purl the additional 17 sts.

Row 81: K 17 sts (on the right side), BO 2 sts and K 15 sts (on the left side).

Row 82: P 15 sts (on the left side), BO 2 sts and purl 15 sts (on the right side).

Row 83: BO 3 sts and K 12 sts (on the right side), BO 2 sts and K 13 sts (on the left side).

Row 84: BO 3 sts and P 10 sts (on the left side), BO 2 sts and purl 10 sts (on the right side).

Row 85: BO 3 sts and K 7 sts (on the right side), BO 2 sts and K 8 sts (on the left side).

Row 86: BO 3 sts and P 5 sts (on the left side), BO 2 sts and purl 5 sts (on the right side).
