Mia's Bar

For my model, I wanted to do something different and I wanted something that would stand out. I knew that I wanted to put myself out of my comfort zone and create a model with the best of my ability. While searching for inspiration, I came across many pictures of bookstores, flower shops, etc but when I saw pictures of bottles and coffee shops, I thought, why not create a bar? it seemed different and interesting so I came to the decision to create Mia's bar!

When creating this bar, my mind drifted to many memories. In my culture, whenever we are celebrating birthdays,graduations or just to enjoy each other's companies, we will always head to restaurants and celebrate.

My design will help the community by bringing people together and celebrate not just for birthdays but for being a family as well. Bars don't necessarily have to give beers or alcohol but cokes,water and food.

Step 1: I created my design firstly if fusion 360. I began by creating my base which was the floor,the walls using the sketch in fusion 360. I then extruded it so that the walls would show. After making the walls, I did the furniture inside. I used Sketch, extruded, cut, modify, and offset the plane to create my stools,bar table, and wall frames where I was going to put the bottles in.

After creating the interior, I made the outside using the same stools to make the window frames and the workshop sign.

Step 2: After I was done making the decor of the workshop, I began to do the outside. I made the tables,stools and the railing using the same tools as before.Once I was done with everything I began to change the color so that the design would look more colorful.

Once I was done with my fusion 360 design, I moved on to making my actual model. I got my supplies and began measuring how big I wanted my product to be. I used the ruler and pen to measure how far apart I wanted the windows to be and how long and wide I wanted the walls to be. After measuring I used the box cutter and cut the walls and windows. Then I glued the walls and floor together except the ceiling because I was still waiting to do the inside.

After making the walls, I made the furniture which were the stools, bar table, tables and the wall shelves using the Popsicle stick, water bottle caps and the hot glue gun.

After making the inside furniture, i made the railing and the sign for the outside.

Then I made the small pots for the flowers and glued 2 on the railings and 1 on the big cut window that gives a view from the inside.

Then I made a door which was used with sticks and tape and the eave that was connected to the ceiling.

After, I glued on the lights on the inside and outside.

Lastly, I glued down everything and the mini bottles.
