Mexican-Style Ham and Cheese Melt
This mexican-style ham and cheese melt is tipical in the northren parts of mexico. Its real spanish name "Sincronizada" comes from how the cheese "sincronzies" both tortillas into one dish.
Supplies
You will need:
- 2 tortillas (per serving)
- A block of cheese
- 1 piece of ham (per serving)
- vegtable oil
- Avocado (opcional)
- Salsa (opcional)
Cut the Cheese
First, you have to the cheese into little piece. The amount of cheese you use dependes on how to cheesy you want it. PS dont use to much because then it doesnt melt.
Put the Tortilla on the Pan
Pour a bit of oil on the pan and heat it to medium heat. After a while put one tortilla with a piece of ham on top with a bit of cheese on top.
The Other Tortilla
Put the other tortilla un top of the cheese then wait about 5-10 min for the bottom to turn brown. Then flip it around and do the same for the other side. PS: the bottom should have a lot of golden spots and be slightly ballooned up.
Add Extras
Take the melt and put on a plate. Then you can open it up and add anything you want! I added only avocado, but you can basicly add anything like salsa or pico de gallo. After this step close it up and you can enjoy the dish!
