Mexican Microwave Salsa

Simple Mexican Salsa that can be made in 15 minutes using a microwave and hand held blender.

Ingredients:

1) 3 large tomatoes

2) 6 Serrano Peppers

3) 1 teaspoon crushed garlic

4) 1 teaspoon salt

Clean and Remove Stem

Clean 3 large tomatoes and remove stem part of each tomato.

Serrano Pepper Preparation

Wash and remove stem of Serrano peppers. I like to use 2 peppers per tomato to make it mild or 10 peppers per tomato to make it extra hot.

Microwave Bowl

Add the tomatoes and Serrano peppers to a deep microwave safe bowl. Cover the bowl with Saran Wrap.

Microwave Bowl Contents

Place the bowl in a microwave. Microwave on high for 6 minutes.

Remove Tomato Skin

Remove the Saran Wrap. Using a fork, remove as much of the tomato skin. Careful, the tomatoes will be super hot.

Add Crushed Garlic

Add one teaspoon of crushed garlic to the bowl.

Add Salt

Add one teaspoon of salt to the bowl.

Purée the Mixture

Using a hand held blender or putting the entire mixture in a blender - blend until your preferred consistency. My preferred consistency is shown in the picture.

Put in a Bowl

Place in a bowl and put it out on the table for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
