Mewtwo Table Lamp

This savage Pokemon lamp was made using LEDs from an old emergency lamp. I also added a 5050 LED strip to this lamp, which is controlled using an IR remote control.

Design and 3D Printing
After finding a 3D model of Mewtwo online, I had the idea of making a cool lamp of it. So I made some changes accordingly, to the model, using Blender. Under the Mewtwo model, is a platform made, to house all the electronics. The wire for the lamp is rooted through the body. For the accurate design, I had to print the body, in 6 individual parts. The material used is PLA 0.16mm resolution 20% infill. After printing, I had to drill the parts for wire routing and glued the parts together. The gaps were filled later with wall putty. I used acrylic paint to paint characteristic colors onto Mewtwo.
Electronics

I have used a 12v adapter as a power source for this lamp. The IR box is connected to a 12v source through a switch. For powering the 3W LEDs, I used a buck converter to reduce the voltage from 12v to 3.5v. The RGB led strip can also be controlled with the Remote control.
