Merry Manhattan!
I'm going to make this quick because my bartender can get me from dry to drunk in 10 minutes.
Here's what you'll need.
Whiskey. Use good stuff like Crown Royal. Something you would drink straight.
Sweet Vermouth. Make sure it's freshly opened or less than a month old.
Bitters
Shaker
Ice
Rocks Glass
Cherries (optional)
Here's what you'll need.

Load the Shaker!
Add Ice, Whiskey, Vermouth and Bitters to the Shaker. Proportions are as follows.
Add plenty of Whiskey. Be sure to watch the video below for helpful tips.
The Vermouth takes the hard edge off the Whiskey. Add just enough to take the bite away.
The Bitters take the sweet off the Vermouth. Add just enough to dry it out to your liking.
Shake it up!

Place a large ice cube in a rocks glass and pour the best drink ever made. Add a long stemmed cherry if you like...but only if you can tie a knot in the stem with your tongue.
