Melted Snowman Ornament

These melted snowmen are cute and so easy to make. They can be customized as well with little added touches. Let's make some melted snowmen!

Materials needed include:

-Parchment paper (not wax paper)
It is typically used for baking.

-hot glue gun and hot glue sticks (lots of them)

-string or thread to hang the ornament

Decorating materials which can include:

-sharpie markers
-wool
-craft foam
-beads
-buttons
-small sticks
-etc

Plug in your glue gun and let it warm up. Meanwhile, get some glue sticks ready as you will need to constantly reload the glue gun.

Once your glue gun is hot, move onto the next step.

On the parchment paper, apply the hot glue in a puddle. Don't make the puddle perfectly round, instead make some "drips" forming away from the puddle. This will add to the melted look.

If you need to stop for a moment as your glue gun melts the glue, that's ok. You can continue to add hot glue to already cooled glue.

Press in your thread or string to the top edge of your glue puddle. This is so you can hang your ornament.

This is where you can use your creativity to decorate your puddle.

You can add:

- little sticks for arms
-some beads for eyes and buttons
-cut out a little foam hat
-use foam for the carrot nose

Since this is a melted snowman, the face doesn't have to be perfect. It's OK to have a drooping face.

Press all your details into the puddle of glue. If your glue had already cooled and is set, hot glue your details on.

Let your melted snowman cool completely. Once cooled, gently peel off your melted snowman from the parchment paper. You should find that it peels off easily.

You can now hang your melted snowman anywhere! Once my tree is up, I have a few of these hanging by the lights so they glow at night. You can also attach these to gifts.
