We developed a robotic car with Mecanum wheels, powered by an Arduino Mega and TT motors, for advanced movement. Mecanum wheels robot controlled via a PlayStation controller in this project. The Mecanum wheels enable the robot to move smoothly in 10 directions, including forward, backward, sideways, diagonally, clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. We also developed a user-friendly mobile application using MIT App Inventor. This project will continue to be developed and we can make a differences.

Supplies

Arduino UNO, Arduino MEGA, Bluetooth module(It was in the initial version of the project but we replaced it with a controller),ESP32, Motor Driver, Mecanum wheels,PlayStation controller, USB or wireless adapter for PlayStation controller

Drawings and Design

Motor Preparation

  1. Attach the motors securely to the Mecanum wheels.

Robot Body Design

  1. Use autoCAD and Fusion 360 to design the chassis.
  2. Ensure proper placement of motors and electronics.
  3. Attach the motor driver to the frame and connect it to the motors.
  4. Mount the Arduino MEGA and other components on the chassis.
