Meatballs in Tomato Sauce
This is one of my favourite meal-time recipes. It can be made very quickly while still tasting great and having that homemade touch.
Meatballs: Ingredients
To make the meatballs you will need:
Mince
Bread (slightly stale bread is perfectly fine)
1 Egg
A dash of oil
Half an onion
Ground pepper

Meatballs: Step 1
Firstly, cut up the onion into small pieces. Add a dash of oil to a frying pan and cook the onions until they're soft. Don't let them brown. Leave them to cool.
Meatballs: Step 3
Meanwhile, use a blender to turn the bread into breadcrumbs. You can use any sort of bread. Slightly stale bread works well, so it's a great way to use left over bread.
Also, crack the egg into a bowl and beat it until it's mixed together. We will use the egg to bind the rest of the ingredients later.

Meatballs: Step 4
Put the mince, some pepper, onion and egg into a large bowl. Add a couple of handfuls of the breadcrumbs. Mix together with your hands. If the mix is too wet, add more breadcrumbs.
Meatballs: Step 5
Roll the meat into Ping-Pong ball sized balls. It doesn't matter if they're slightly bigger or smaller.
Meatballs: Step 6
To cook, add a dash of oil to a frying pan. Add the meatballs and cook on a medium heat until they're brown all the way through. Wile they're cooking, make the sauce.
