May the Force Be With You - Lightsaber in 5 Minutes Method

IMG_20171005_170002.jpg

In this instructable, I'll show you how I made The illuminating Lightsaber, Star Wars Sword.

It only took me 5 minutes and it is made from leftovers and recycled stuff.

I had an old microwave motor that I used couple of times before.

Here is what a Microwave turntable motor is capable of doing.

You can measure its output on a Voltmeter and get about 500 V AC .

It can give you a serious electric shock if you touch its terminals and turn it. So please be Careful.

It can be used to charge your phone through the normal phone charger of you connect its terminals to the charger input plugs that connects to 220 V AC mains of the wall.

Here is my Channel on Youtube:

And it can also be used to light an EL Wire or EL Stripe

Use the tape to fix the Electroluminescent stripe around the plastic rod.

Connect the wires to the turntable motor. Then connect the wires to the Electroluminescent stripe.

Caution:

Please be careful when you turn the motor as it really makes a strong electric shock when turned.

Don't touch the motor terminals. I warned you.
