Matt Cookies
Hi, my name is Matt. I am not a baker or cooker but I am trying to learn. I thought this would be a fun way to create cookies. Cookies are very good and this is a good start to baking and learning how to cook. I had a good experience learning how to bake these cookies.
Supplies
1/2 cup of butter
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar packed
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1 cup semisweet choclate chips
Spray Pam
Pan
Measure cups
Preheat Oven to 350
First, the oven should be preheated to 350. This way when you're ready the cookies can be put in the oven and you don't have to wait for the oven to warm up. Also if you put them in the oven before at 350 they may not bake correctly.
Melt the Butter
Microwave the butter for about 40 seconds. Make sure the butter is completely melted but not hot!!!
Move Butter to Big Bowl
After I melted butter I put it in the big gray bowl. The reason I did not melt in the bowl too big to fit in the microwave and certain bowls can NOT go in the microwave.
Add Egg
The next step is to add the egg. Be careful when cracking so the shell does not get inside the bowl.
Add Vanilla
The next step is to add the vanilla which adds flavoring to the cookies. Put only a few drops or weight out as it mentioned above.
Add Flour
The next step is to add 1 3/4 cups of the flower. Make sure to measure and put the exact amount.
Brown Sugar
7th step add 1/4 cup brown of sugar. Make sure to measure and put the exact amount.
Granulated Sugar
8th step ass 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Make sure to measure and put the exact amount.
Note: I added accidentally chocolate chips before this step but the order of sugar or chocolate chips does not matter.
Chocolate Chips
This is my favorite step and I love chocolate chips. For this step, you may add as much as you would like. The more you the more chocolatey.
Stir Up
Stir up all the ingredients until combined. The dough should be soft and a little sticky but not overly sticky.
Spray Pan
This step is optional the reason why I say this is because it won't stick to the pan. If you spray they come off the pan easily.
Cookies on Pan
Next, I put cookies on the pan and spaced them out evenly. Then put them in the oven for 8-10 minutes depending on how to burn t you like cookies.
