Mat Board Jewelry

You can make beautiful and colorful pieces of jewelry at your house

I used the different chromatic harmonies to make pieces of jewelry.
If you want, you can use already colored plastic bottle caps to make a more durable version

Materials:

-Mat board

- cutting tools

- Sand paper

- Paint and brushes

- Glue

- Pins and metal rings for assemble the jewelry

- Varnish (i used the same white glue)

- Jewelry pliers

I painted a used cardboard (from the back of a drawing block) white on both sides.

Or MAT BOARD as i search on google.

I gave it two coats of paint

Then I used this tool to cut different sized circles

and free handed cut different square shapes.

I also cut polygons of different sizes

I made squares and rectangles and abstract shapes I glued a couple of circles of the same size to make thicker ones, and let them dry pressed. I sanded everything with fine sandpaper.

I made a chromatic circle with the paints I had

In a mixer I put dark green, light green and yellow At the bottom I put the same amount of white in each space and mixed with the color above, to get a lighter tone.

Then mix blue, light blue, and light green with black and white to achieve COLORED GRAYS. And I painted the rest of the pieces with colored grays, black and white

This is how the pieces turned out

You have to paint them at both sides!

I also painted some pieces orange and I mixed orange with white for others

I painted some pieces with cerulean blue, red and purple directly from the paint jars

I distributed the painted shapes to achieve interesting and striking compositions

Here are different types of harmonies.

-Complementary colors.

-Split complementary colors.

-Analogous colors.

-Triadic harmonies.

-Tetradic harmonies.

-Monochromatic harmonies.

I chose the harmonies that interested me the most, and put in some mixes as well, as long as they work as composition they will be fine.

And glue the pieces together with white glue or PVA, i used the same glue as a varnish.

Ok so i don't really know how you call each piece of this things show at the picture, but they are use for making jewelry and rings, and pins.

The last picture is for making ear-rings but they aren't rings so.. help
