Master Puzzle

This is a 31 pieces wooden puzzle.

This is made by using pine wood. This wood is soft & easy to work with. We have taken pine wood strips of one thickness. In this case we have taken pine wood strips of 1.4cm thick.

After filing pine wood looks beautiful.

Lets take soft wood (preferably pine wood) strip. While making this puzzle, we have taken 1.4cm thick strip of pine wood. If you make surface finish on machine your puzzle will look beautiful. (Otherwise you need to do polish with the help of polish paper or do filling to get finished surface of puzzle parts ).

Mark on the wooden strip 2cm x 2cm piece & cut it with help of hack saw. We have to make two (2) pieces. Finish all surfaces with help of file. Even corners need to be rounded.

Take same thickness wooden strip (in this case 1.4cm) & mark 4cm x 2cm piece. Cut these pieces as shown in above photograph with help of hack saw. We have to make 4 pieces. Finish all surfaces with help of file. Even corners need to be rounded.

We have to mark two types of shapes as shown in above photograph. Use same thickness wooden strip.

1. First shape is of size 6cm long 2cm in width (6mmx2cm). Make 4 pieces.
2. Second shape - Take dimensions as shown in photograph no. 2. Cut it as shown in photograph 3. We have to make 6 pieces.
3. Now finish all 10 (4+6) pieces with the help of file.

Take measurements on wooden strip as shown in photograph one. Cut the wooden strip as shown in photograph two. We have to make 4 pieces. Finish corners & surfaces of these four pieces with help of file.

Take measurements as 4cm x 4cm on wooden strip to make a square. Cut the wooden strip into 4x4 cm. We have to make 4 pieces. Finish corners & surfaces of these four pieces with help of file.

Take wooden strip as shown in photograph one. Thickness of this wooden strip should be 1.4cm.

We need to make 23 cm long & 2.8 cm wide four strips to make frame of puzzle.

Cut wooden strip into four strips of 23cm x 2.8cm size with help of hacksaw & vice. See the photographs above.

Take 3mm thick plywood to make a base of puzzle frame. Cut this plywood into 26cm x 26cm square piece. Put four pieces (23cmx2.8cm) of wooden strips on the plywood & nail them. see the photograph one of puzzle frame.

31 pieces wooden puzzle is ready.
