Mary's Margherita Pizza
This pizza is not just easy to make, it is oh-so delicious! Plus, using refrigerated pizza dough makes this ready to serve in less than 30 minutes. I like to serve it with a side salad for a fabulous lunch. Meatless perfection!
Ingredients:
1 (13.8 oz.) tube refrigerated pizza dough
1 ½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
1/3 cup grated aged Parmesan cheese
¾ cup pizza sauce
1 large ripe tomato
1 (8 oz.) sliced fresh mozzarella cheese log
Leaves from 5 small basil sprigs
Supplies
Tools needed:
Pizza pan or baking sheet

Heat Oven
Heat oven to 400 degrees.
Prepare and Bake Crust
Unroll pizza dough onto a pizza pan or large baking sheet that has been sprayed with non-stick cooking spray. Sprinkle dough evenly with Italian seasoning then Parmesan cheese. Bake for 10 minutes or until cheese is golden brown.
Add Toppings
Remove from oven and spread with pizza sauce. Slice tomato and quarter slices. Arrange evenly on sauce. Quarter mozzarella slices and arrange evenly around tomato quarters.
Bake Pizza
Bake for 10-12 minutes more or until cheese is melted and bubby and crust is golden brown.
Add Basil Leaves
Remove pizza from oven and immediately arrange basil leaves on top.
Slice and Serve
Slice into 9 squares and serve immediately. Serves 4. Enjoy!
