These are some paper robots powered by marbles. When you put them on a slope they roll down very quickly. One is based off the Instructables robot and that's the one I'll show you how to make. I built them because I like robots. Here's how to make them.

Supplies

Thick paper

Glue

Pipe cleaner

A marble (about 15mm diameter)

Pen

Scissors

Ruler

Thick needle (for scoring paper)

Cut Out the Template

5.jpg

Print out the template on thick paper and cut out the parts. You may need to enlarge the hole at the bottom. Then score the fold lines.

Glue It Together

Fold all the tabs and glue the pieces together. Don't forget to put the marble in before closing the body.

Make the Arms

8.jpg

Cut a piece of pipe cleaner and poke it through the body to make the arms. You may need to make a hole with something else (like the point of a compass).

Draw the Details

Cut some thin strips of thick paper for legs and glue them on the bottom. then draw whatever details you want.

Race Them!
