This is an origami map designer, that from a traditional map, new streets and cities will be created, with only a few folds.

We just need a map, scissors and some glue.

Cut Sheet

First let's choose a very tree-like map. (Photo 1)

Later we have to cut it in a ratio of 1: 2.

Maps usually have a grid, so with the help of it we draw our rectangle with one side twice as long as the other. (Photo 2)

And we cut with the help of the scissors. (Photo 3)

First we are going to fold the sheet in half like in the photo (Photo 1)

and then we will fold thesides towards the center line (Photo 2 and 3)

Now we unfold. and repeat the last steps in the other side of the sheet, folding in half, and the sides towards the central line. (Photo 4 and 5).

Having this folded sheet, repeat folding the sides towards the central line. (Photo 6 and 7)

And unfold, our map is squared in 4x8 squares. (Photo 8)

The squares that I mark with must be cut out (Photo 9)

This is the result (Photo 10)

Then we put glue in the squares that have a cross-out in the photo (Photo 10)

And we fold the ends sideways, pressing so that the glue sticks. (Photo 11, 12, 13 and 14)

These tabs that are forward, we put them down (Photo 15, 16, 17 and 18) on both sides (Photo 19)

And it's done, we can start building maps. (Photo 20)

Having our map 1 (Photo 1) , we fold the top and bottom sides back and map 2 (Photo 2 and 3)

Now we open it from the center and another new map. (Photo 4 and 5)

We can keep opening the center by building new maps (Photo 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10)

(On the back side new maps are also created)
