Making Egg Salad My Way

Collecting What You'll Need

The list of needed ingredients is rather short, you can add or subtract what ever you want but if you subtract the eggs it wont be egg salad....
 You'll need...
A couple of hard boiled eggs... raw/uncooked eggs make a different dish
Mayonaise, miricle whip or other salad dressing
 an onion
 pickle relish
 salt and pepper
 bread

The Egg

As I was preparing this dish I realized I had two mini "ibles" in the making, here's a link to the first one https://www.instructables.com/id/peeling-a-hard-boiled-egg/   Tap your hardboiled egg on a hard surface to crack the shell, hold the egg under running water to easily and cleanly peel the egg

The Onion

If you like onions in your egg salad now's the time to dice some up, this is also my second mini "ible" https://www.instructables.com/id/How-to-dice-an-onion-1/
Cut your onion in half and peel it, make a horizontal slice being careful not to slice into the root
Make a couple of longitudinal cuts in the onion
Slice across the longitudinal cuts to create a small dice

Mash It

Put your peeled eggs in a bowl and slice them in half, using a fork, mash the eggs to the consistency you want. Many will stop at the point shown in pic#2, I prefer a much finer mash as shown in pic #3 because I don't really like the white of an egg

Mix

We're almost done, add your diced onions, relish, a couple spoons full of mayonaise or other dressing, salt and pepper to taste and mix it all together. For some reason the pic of the mixed results didn't turn out ! = (

Finish

That's it. all that's left to do is to make your sandwich. Im using toasted white bread here but the options are only limited by your taste or pantry. bagels, wheat or whole grain breads, crackers or even dippers like pita chips or doritos
