Standard Stubby holders don't fit a normal Red Bull size can. By reusing materials you can make an insert to keep your drink snug in a stubby holder and not flopping around. Most swing machine for stubby holders have an arm thats too wide to make this narrower cooler, this is why they are hard to find and in demand for people who like to drink from the thin cans.

Supplies

Start with a few stubby holders, marine glue and scissors. Make sure you have a stubby holder that you are fine to be cutting up, this part will form the main insert section of your new cooler. Don't cut up a stubby holder that you love.

Take an old Stubby holder and remove the base. Then cut up the seam and so you have a flat rectangle section that can be rolled. Some stubby holders are heat taped together, so they will be easy to cut a part.

Roll up the panel and put it inside a normal stubby holder. You will see because of the size there is some overlap. Don't worry, this will be removed. Then size up how much needs to be removed. Mark this with the scissors.

Remove the panel from the larger stubby holder and cut this section off the panel. Save the left over piece and this can be used in other DIY craft that we make.

Put the panel back in the larger stubby holder, and check you have the size right. You can obviously adjust this and if you need to add more, you can use the left over panel. You can stop there but we recommend taking an extra step and using marine glue or a strong glue to keep your new custom stubby holder together. This is optional. You might want to be able to take the panel in and out of any cooler. This way you are able to change the outside and keep the inside section like you change clothes... who knows what design you want to use tomorrow.
